“Life is an ever shifting kaleidoscope: a slight change and all patterns alter.”
Hiya! Welcome to my first blog post on Antique Kaleidoscope. So why did I chose the name Antique Kaleidoscope? Well here’s a few reasons why…
- I’ve always loved kaleidoscopes! As a kid, I would spend hours peering through a cheap cardboard kaleidoscope, fascinated by the ornate patterns that unfolded with each turn.
- Kaleidoscopes have an eclectic, vintage beauty that I love. There’s just something about them that makes them timeless.
- I also love the symbolism of a kaleidoscope. A simple child’s toy capable of creating an endless amount of intricate and nuanced patterns. And these patterns are constantly shifting and changing. Simple, beautiful, complex, and never staying the same for more than a moment–sounds kind of like life, don’t you think?
So this is where I’ll be sharing all the rubbish that goes tumbling through my mind. It might be recipes and crafts or fitness and travel. Sometimes it might just be me rambling about life and waxing philosophical. Either way, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy!
